Philosophy and Experience

To many people, the commercial construction industry is a cold and indifferent industry focused only on portfolios and profits. R. W. Thomas Construction, LLC was founded in 2004 with the vision of being a different kind of commercial construction company and offering a hands-on personal touch.

We have been involved in the construction industry as project managers, senior project managers and vice presidents since 1979. We have been involved in projects that range in size from a 630,000 square foot distribution facility to an 800 square foot tenant upfit.

Through the years, the projects that we have managed include distribution facilities, large office and warehouse buildings, grocery stores, aircraft hangers, doctor's offices, big box and small retail spaces, office spaces, clean rooms, hospital emergency rooms, churches, schools and recreation centers. These projects have been constructed with varied types of construction such as concrete tilt wall, pre-engineered metal buildings and renovations of dated and historical buildings.

During our many years in the commercial construction industry, we have learned that the ingredients that make up a successful project and a happy client are a good design and construction team, competitive pricing, good communication and good subcontractors. Service and schedules are key. R. W. Thomas Construction, LLC is all about bringing together our clients with other businesses in the community that are concerned about meeting deadlines and taking pride in a job well done.

Location

We are located in Chesapeake, Virginia and will work in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Some of the towns we work in and around are Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News and Poquoson.
