R. W. Thomas Construction is a commercial contracting company focusing on the building needs of our clients. We can help you realize your dreams or meet your needs, whether for a free standing structure or for your personal office space.

We gather together a team of design consultants and building trade contractors to answer your questions and bring your vision to life. We locate the best materials, use the newest techniques in construction, and work with businesses in the community that care about the final product and believe in customer service.

New Construction

We perform all phases of design build commercial construction in the Hampton Roads and Richmond Virginia area. We work with some of the best architects and engineers. Since we have worked with these specialists before, we know, from experience, who will do the best job for you. We can take care of everything from finding and hiring a design consultant, to constructing the facility of your dreams. Or, if you just need us to construct a building for which you already have plans, we are here to help. You can be as involved or uninvolved in the process as you would like and we can take care of as much or as little of your project as you would like. Interior Construction

We can help you remodel or expand your office or retail space. We can build to your specifications and all you have to do is unlock the door and move in. Our team will work with you to design your space with the intention of meeting your requirements while eliminating all the guesswork. It is our goal to develop a plan and cost estimate to maximize your expectations while being inclusive so there will be no unforseen expenditures.

Construction Management

You can use our many years of experience in the construction industry to your benefit by having us manage your project. We can also serve as a construction consultant, providing both design and construction advice. During construction, our Project Manager can focus on all aspects of the project including Scheduling & Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration and Safety Management.
